55 textbooks, 1,678 errors
Factual, geographical, ideological, grammatical.
This isn't carelessness.
It's institutional negligence -
That bewilders students
Burdens teachers
Betrays the next generation.
The state ordered a probe.
Suspended a few people.
Issued a corrigendum.
And called it a day.
The corrupted textbooks are still in classrooms.
Teachers are left playing damage control.
Like janitors cleaning up a mess they didn't make.
Factual errors, at least, we can spot and laugh at.
Ideological ones slip past quietly, unnoticed.
Accountability is a myth.
When exposed, no one pays.
No punishment.
No shame.
A child raised on errors grows up unsure what's true.
